The Challenge: Modernise Without Compromise
As part of an initiative to modernise their hardware infrastructure, Qmatic evaluated alternatives to their existing real-time display systems, which were proving costly to scale. After assessing various options, they chose to adoptAndroid-based Riko Magic mini-PCs, a decision that supported both performance goals and long-term cost efficiency.
To complement this transition, Qmatic sought external expertise in mobile application development to accelerate the reengineering of several key applications for the Android and iOS platforms. This marked the beginning of the collaboration with Creative Software.
The Collaboration: Starting Small, Scaling with Trust
The partnership began with a single developer from Creative Software working on a proof of concept.The result? A resounding success, leading to the formation of a larger team, including iOS developers, Android developers, and a team lead. The objective was to re-develop and enhance Qmatic’s core applications to better support their evolving product strategy and hardware platform.

Creative Software currently works on 16 of Qmatic’s applications, including five flagship products that are central to customer solutions:
Counter – Enables staff to manage and serve customers efficiently at service points, ensuring smooth and structured interactions.
Concierge – Empowers staff to greet, guide, and assist visitors from the moment they arrive, enhancing first impressions and service flow.
MobileTicket– Allows customers to join a virtual queue from their mobile devices, reducing wait times and improving convenience.
Qmatic Kiosk– Provides self-service check-in and ticketing to streamline arrivals, minimize queues, and optimize customer flow.
Qmatic Display– Offers dynamic digital signage that keeps customers informed and engaged with real-time updates and guidance.
The development team is responsible for ensuring performance, scalability, and usability across these applications, while also providing long-term support and continuous enhancements.
